💛 IHOP Junction City Fundraiser — Supporting Poppy’s Journey 💛Join us as we come together as a community to support Poppy and her family during her courageous fight.
Poppy is currently in active treatment for ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). She was diagnosed on May 1, 2025, at just 3 years old. The first few weeks were overwhelming — filled with surgery to place her port, blood transfusions, countless needles, medications, doctors, nurses, unanswered questions, and fear of what was to come.
Through it all, Poppy stood tall. She looked fear and illness in the eyes and decided they would not defeat her. Every treatment day, she shows up with smiles and laughter, reminding everyone around her just how brave and strong she truly is.
Four and a half months into treatment, only 21 days after her first “Red Devil” treatment, Poppy lost her beautiful curls. Instead of letting it bring her down, she proudly shared that she had to lose her baby hair so her mermaid hair could grow for summertime. She’s reminded daily that she is beautiful — and that it was the medicine doing its job, not cancer, and that’s okay.
Currently, Poppy’s treatments are every 10 days and depend on her blood counts. Some visits mean heading back home and trying again. Staying home and staying healthy is the main goal — especially when she is neutropenic and unable to fight illness.
Poppy has two loving siblings, Jeremiah and Hazel, who are her biggest supporters, along with her Aunt Candice, her all-time bestie. They are inseparable and surround her with constant love.
Poppy is bright, intelligent, sassy, funny, talented, and quick-witted. This loving 4-year-old sees the good in every situation and loves making new friends.
With two more years ahead in this journey, childhood cancer is not easy — but community support makes a powerful difference.
