A hands-on cooking camp where Chefs help create their own pop restaurant where they will serve 4 guests of their choice.Our "Pop up Restaurant" camp offers a week to explore what it's like to work behind the scenes in a restaurant. Young chefs learn about meal prep for groups, timing, and serving skills. They will experience aspects of being a back of house chef, host, and server. Each participant will have the opportunity to invite up to 4 guests to their "pop up" restaurant.
Each "Pop-up Restaurant" Camp week during the summer will include a new menu - so students can attend this camp multiple times and learn how to make different recipes each week they attend!
What's included
4 day camp/ 2 hours (Monday-Thursday)
Laminated recipes to build their collection
Opportunity to invite 4 guests to their "pop up" restaurant on Wed or Thurs
Apron and KT bag provided to first-time students
Itinerary
Day 1 & 2
Participants will work together to help create a pop-up restaurant. They will practice recipes, prep food, create menus, and train to be a "server".
Day 3 & 4
Young Chefs will work together to run their "pop up" restaurant. Participants will be able to host their choice of up to 4 guests (or all siblings and parents) on one of the restaurant days. They will take their groups' order, prepare their meal, and serve it.
