It returns because Halloween was too short.
Because it still wants to dance
To whisper in dark alleyways
To breathe the wet autumn air beneath Van Horne overpass.
So it creates its own ritual
Right here, in Montreal.
It calls out to all the other masks...
To them pigeons in Parc Laurier
To the Mile-End squirrels whoâve seen too much
To the night walkers
The shadow dancers
To the rebels who refuse to let the party die.
