Enjoy a morning celebrating the joy of reading!
The Sarasota County Mobile Library Van is coming back to The Bay stocked with a variety of books appropriate for different ages and interests.
Learn more about the wide range of library services available, and even get your own library card.
Bring the kids to enjoy one of the Nursery Rhyme Storytime sessions lead by a local librarian beginning at 10:00am and 11:00am.
Monthly Themes:
October: In celebration of The Bay's 3rd Anniversary, this month's theme is HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
November: Turkeys
December: Winter
Please feel free to bring some gently used books of your own to give back to the Lending Libraries in the park (children’s books are in great need).
Know Before You Go
-Free parking is located around the site— along Blvd of the Arts and Van Wezel Way, and in front of the Van Wezel, Municipal Auditorium and Blue Pagoda. Please avoid parking in designated Sarasota Orchestra parking areas.
-All pets must be non-aggressive and on a leash at all times. Owners are expected to pick up after their pets.
-Please report any risky or unsafe behavior to the Sarasota Non-Emergency Police 24 hours a day (941) 316-1199.
NOTE: In the event of inclement weather, this event will be CANCELLED. Notices will be communicated via The Bay website calendar, Eventbrite, Facebook and Instagram up to one hour before start time as unpredictable Florida weather changes quickly.
