One Night Only! Pop-up Art Gallery Display featuring the work of Abe Krell. March 22nd, 5-8PM

Abe is a digital artist who uses remote sensing technology to construct personal interpretations of maps. An extension of digital photography, remote sensing can be airborne, satellite, or ground based. Krell uses all three platforms to create colorful and textured works of cartography art. An avid music fan, Abe has also been commissioned by several musicians to create Obi strips and other design materials for physical music releases.
Although he resides in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Abe is a native of Tamaqua, PA. He is a graduate of Appalachian State University (Boone, North Carolina), where he earned his BS degrees in Geographic Information Sciences and Urban/Regional Planning. He is currently employed as a GIS Analyst with an Italian-based engineering and design firm.
