SpiritHouseNC & Forward Justice invite you to the first event of this year's Kwanzaa Series where we will be honoring the principle of " Umoja " (Unity) by gathering together with family, friends, and the community at the Shadow Box Studio in Durham, NC for a FREE showing of 2023's The Color Purple. This film --produced by Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Quincey Jones and Scott Sanders-- is based on the Tony-winning Broadway musical, which was based on the 1985 Steven Spielberg movie that gave the media icon, Oprah Winfrey, her first big acting break.
