The City of Rio Rancho Parks, Recreation and Community Services department, is excited to mark the final days of summer with the annual Pooch Plunge!
Bring your dog(s) out to Haynes Pool for one last swim before the outdoor pools close for the season. There will also be various animal rescue groups and shelters there trying to find good homes for some loving animals. There is no fee for rescue groups to attend, but you do need to pre-register on ActiveNet. All non-food vendors must be selling pet related items. There will be food trucks and non-food vendors too! People are not allowed in the pool with their dogs. For more information call 505-892-4499.
Pets without current vaccination papers (Required shots: Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP or DHPP) WILL NOT BE ADMITTED into the pool area. All dogs must be leashed and handled by an owner 16 and older if not in the pool area. NO EXCEPTIONS!
On-site registration only for Pooch Plunge is $5 per pet
(Cash or Check ONLY)
Vendor space $35 for a 15’ x 15’ space (Tables, tents, and chairs are not provided) Must register on-line, NO Drop-Ins Accepted.
