Pomeroy Farm Children's Workshops

Join us once again for an exciting week filled with fun facts and farm festivities! This year’s kids’ workshops include an expanded schedule, bringing in local experts on everything from animal care to historical pastimes, so kids can learn about all aspects of farm life.

$30 per child per class, or save by registering for the whole series ($125 per child). Classes run from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon each day, and families are welcome to bring a lunch to enjoy at the farm after class (until 1:00 PM). Recommended for ages 6 to 12. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the class.

Get ready for a fun-filled journey through the history of dairy! From the early days to modern times, we’ll explore how dairy farming has changed and how it connects to life at Pomeroy Farm. With taste tests and hands-on activities, you’ll learn what dairy really is while sampling some delicious treats along the way.

Wednesdays are all about fun on the farm! Join our resident expert on play for a day of vintage crafts and old-fashioned fun. You’ll learn about the history of play, take a line dancing lesson, meet friendly farm animals, and bring home your very own handmade historic craft.

August 21st, 2025

Where does our food really come from? Join us as we follow the journey of food from the fields to our plates. Tour the farm, learn about crops grown at Pomeroy Farm, and help prepare a fresh, delicious meal to enjoy together. It’s a tasty, hands-on exploration of farm-to-table living!

August 22nd, 2025

What does it take to live off the land? Spend a day learning the basics of homesteading from growing and creating, to crafting and caring. We’ll dive into fun, practical skills and you’ll even take home some farm-inspired crafts… and maybe get a little dirt under your nails!
