Join Brownsburg Bands for a Unique Family Event at the Polo Fields – August 30, 2025Help support The Sound of Brownsburg’s journey to the 2026 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA with an unforgettable evening of polo, music, and community fun!

🕓 Time: Gates open at 4:15 pm | Polo match begins at 6:00 pm
💵 Admission: $40 per car, paid at the gate
This event takes place at Hickory Hall Polo Club, Indiana’s only outdoor polo club, where the sport has been part of the Indianapolis area for more than 80 years. Polo is one of the oldest known team sports in the world, dating back over 2,000 years to Central Asia and Persia. Fast-paced and powerful, polo combines athleticism, strategy, and the beauty of horsemanship—making it an exciting experience whether you’re new to the sport or a long-time fan.
Live Music and Special Performances
You’ll be treated to live entertainment by Groove Smash, one of Indy’s top cover bands featuring Brownsburg Bands’ own assistant director John Marque. A member of The Sound of Brownsburg Marching Band will also perform the National Anthem to kick off the night.
Halftime Fun for All Ages
Don’t miss the crowd-favorite candy drop from an airplane (weather permitting), and join in the polo tradition of “divot stomping” at halftime—just like in the movies!

Tailgate-Style Setup
Parking is located right around the field in true tailgate fashion. Bring your chairs, blankets, food, drinks, and popup canopies. Feel free to decorate your space and visit with other tailgaters—this is a relaxed and social event, perfect for groups of all sizes.
A Family-Friendly Evening
This event is designed with all ages in mind. Kids will love the candy drop and wide-open spaces, while adults can enjoy the sport, live music, and relaxing evening outdoors. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic and beverages, and you’ll receive a trash bag at the gate to help keep the field clean.
