Join us for a very special collaboration between studio owner Dawn and children's author Melanie Seiver for an inspiring 4 hours of sewing, creativity and storytelling at Create and Sew Studio in Chorley, Lancashire.
Begin the day by meeting Melanie, author of the wonderful Polly Pin children's book, as she shares the story behind Polly Pin and how sewing inspired her character.
You'll then spend time creating your very own Reading Cushion, featuring the exclusive embroidered Polly Pin patch kindly provided by Janome. Perfect for confident beginners and those with some sewing experience, this workshop will guide you through a range of useful sewing techniques while making a beautiful project to take home.
During the workshop you'll learn how to: Measure, cut and pin fabric accurately Create and attach your own piping Construct a professional envelope cushion back
Apply decorative trims such as ric-rac or bias binding
Appliqué the exclusive Polly Pin embroidered patch onto your pocket
Build confidence using a Janome sewing machine
