Pollinators & pub
About this Event
Join GenWild for a relaxed afternoon at Leam Valley Nature Reserve and learn how to carry out two easy surveys, which anyone can do, that help us monitor how our pollinators are doing. We all know that wildlife is in decline, but this is a simple and accessible way to contibute to research and monitoring to help look after pollinators!
No previous experience or knowledge is needed. These quick and easy 10-15 minute surveys are low intensity and accessible to people new to surveying. The only requirement is to sit or stand and say what you see! This is a great way to dip your toes into the world of pollinator ID and realising all the amazing different types of pollinators there are (butterflies and bees are great, but there are so many other important pollinators you're missing)!
Afterwards we'll head to the Newbold Comyn Arms for a social (paninis are on the menu of course!). This is a great way to meet new people and just chat with like-minded people who care about nature. Please see the menu here to browse the available drink and food options beforehand.
We will meet up at Newbold Comyn Car Park, CV32 7UA (what 3 words ///events.loss.form) at 12:00. You can email [email protected] if you have any questions.
