About this Event
Pollinators are most active in the early morning, making this a perfect time to observe and learn together. We will walk from Native American Cultural Center to Festival Beach Food Forest, guided by Liliana Benitez and Caroline Chessher.
Both guiders are graduate students at the University of Texas studying plant–pollinator interactions and share a deep passion for ecology and entomology. Pollinators are globally important, yet native bees—many of which are solitary—are rarely highlighted in popular media. Join us to explore and discover the native bees and other pollinators present in our shared space at the Native American Cultural Center.
After tour, we will gather for a shared feast at Food Forest. Please bring food to share.
This event will align with ATX Climate Week.
Come walk, learn, and connect with our pollinator relatives.
