Are you passionate about wildlife and native plants? Want to make a difference in your local pollinator habitat? Spend your morning with fellow Wild Ones working hands-on with native plants to maintain and expand the Dane County Humane Society's pollinator gardens. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or new to the cause, there's something for everyone!Meet At: Wildlife Center (the red building with a wildlife mural at the back left of the main parking lot)
Activities Include:
- Planting new plants
- Weeding
- Removing invasive brush
- Collecting and starting seeds
- Group discussions about future projects
- And of course, admiring our beautiful garden!
What to Bring:
- Gardening gloves
- Your favorite gardening tools (extras will be provided if you don't have your own)
- Dress appropriately for the weather
- A water bottle to stay hydrated
We will provide sunscreen and bug spray to keep you comfortable while you work.
This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, learn more about native plants and pollinators, and contribute to important conservation efforts. Let's make our urban spaces a haven for pollinators together!
Please park in the main parking lot and walk to the Wildlife Center to join us. Looking forward to seeing many friendly faces, both familiar and new!
