Learn Polka, a fun exuberant playful classic partner dance that was super popular in the 19th century, and is done all around world today!Learn Two Step ("Polka without the the hop), a style of Polka that was very popular in the early 20th century and is widely done today.
Prerequisite: No prior experience is needed, and there is no need to bring your own dance partners. Absolute beginners are welcome. Easy to learn.

You will learn the three main basics of Polka/Two-Step, which are Turning Triple Steps, Pivots, and Chasse/Galop/Slides. Plus Polka Promenade, Follower Backing, Lead Backing and some Follower Turns. We will do Right Turning Triple Steps (turning to your right as you travel with a partner), and will introduce you to Left Turning Triple Steps.
Swing dancers: Note that Polka/Two-Step is where the triple step in Swing Dance comes from. Some other things in Polka will also be familiar to you.
Polka can be done in an energetic exuberant style, and also in a more chill style.
