Polish-Scottish Mini Festival 2025: Wlasny Port & Harbour Voices

Polish-Scottish sailing and sea, sea shanty songs night @ Polish-Scottish Mini Festival 2025 with 'Wlasny Port' and 'Harbour Voices'. 'Wlasny Port' was formed in 2003 in Bydgoszcz. The band is made up of musicians with many years of stage experience. Their repertoire includes many original compositions. The musicians give their own character to the songs they perform and always try to leave a part of themselves in them, they also do not shy away from a capella performances. The sound of Własny Port is based on acoustic instruments supported by four male voices. During the twenty-one years of activity, the band has released three original albums and performed at many festivals and sailing events both in Poland and abroad (Germany, Norway, Great Britain), gaining the recognition of listeners and the favor of the organisers. Hundreds of concerts and successful events are its showcase. They return to many places many times.
The band consists of musicians who use both voices and instruments very well, and the often improvised sounds coming from the stage make the concerts lively and unique.

Joining them on stage are The Harbour Voices Choir is a free community choir that meets weekly on Wednesday evenings in the Fittie Community Hall. Led by community musician Sarah Boyle, we are primarily made up of residents from the Fittie and Torry harbourside communities of Aberdeen but are open to all. Recent highlights include performing at the reopening of the Maritime Museum, performing in Aberdeen City Council’s Festival of the Sea to a sold-out audience, and participating in a fundraising event at the Bon Accord Baths. They enjoy singing music from all over the world, and particularly enjoy a good sea shanty! They are delighted to be part of the Scottish Polish Festival next year!
