Hear a presentation about the epic life of Franciszek Gryglaszewski, publisher of the Wiarus newspaper in the 1880s and a giant of Minnesota Polonia during the peak years of emigration from Poland in the late 19th century. He was successful Minneapolis ironworks entrepreneur and leader of the Polish National Alliance in its formative years. As a land agent across the West, Gryglaszewski helped settle Northwest Minnesota and advocated for the rights of native tribes in Alaska and New Mexico.
