About this Event
Join Seattle YIMBY and STACK Urban for an evening exploring what the future of Seattle housing might actually look like in 2026! (Drinks & light food included)
Seattle’s new zoning code is here 👏
Corner stores? Yes.
Stacked flats? Yes.
Six units near transit? Also yes.
But the real question is: What will actually get built?
Are we on the path toward real housing abundance? Will we see Brooklyn-style corner retail and stacked flats popping up in Seattle, or will townhomes still be the only housing type that pencils?
Phase I of the Comp Plan has passed, and we’re now ready to move from policy into practice.
We’ve invited architects and developers to show the concepts they’re excited about, and we hope to foster a robust conversation about what’s actually feasible, given the explosion of possibility in our neighborhood residential zones.
If you are interested in housing, design, policy, or development, come join us to explore what the future of Seattle’s housing might look like.
What to Expect
Design + Feasibility: Poster-style presentations showing what architects and developers are actually exploring under the new code
Policy Context: Short talk on what just passed, what’s unresolved, and what Phase II of the Comp Plan could change
Candid Discussion: Where this new zoning works, where it breaks, and what policy fixes we still need
Networking: Builders, designers, advocates, and policy folks should all be talking to each other—so please join us and the conversation about what we’ll build next in Seattle
