Policy Certificate – Data Protection and Privacy

Across government we are seeing a radical transformation in how departments seek to understand and unlock the value of data, to improve public services and inform decisions at scale. Data-driven policy-making and decision-making means that, for DHSC, more than ever before, data protection, public trust and the ethical use of data is at the heart of everything we do as a department of state.

This Policy Certificate module will give you an introduction to the work of the Office of the Data Protection Officer, the rules and principles that surround data protection, as well as provide insights into how the department will work in the privacy space in the future. This module is under regular review and is updated as the data protection legislative landscape develops.
