El Paso County Parks & Recreation Department is excited to kick off the New Year with a splash! Join us for our “Plunge into the New Year” event—a fun, family-friendly way to welcome 2026 with excitement, energy, and a whole lot of chilly fun.💦 Event Highlights:
• Group Plunge at 1 p.m. – Take the first big jump together!
• Open Plunging until 2 p.m. – Keep the fun going with more jumps from the deck or enjoy a refreshing swim.
• Group Challenge! – Bring your friends, family, coworkers, or club members and take the plunge as a team. The largest group wins a special prize!
• Polar Bear Giveaway – The first 20 registered plungers who make the jump will receive a FREE stuffed polar bear to commemorate the big splash.
• Wear What You Dare! – Participants are welcome to wear any swimwear of their choice. Don’t forget warm, cozy clothes for after the plunge!
