Take the Plunge for a Purpose!
The Polar Bear Plunge is more than a chilly tradition. It is a bold way to bring our community together for a cause that truly saves lives. Each winter, brave participants leap into icy waters to raise awareness for water safety and drowning prevention while supporting Clarksville Parks & Recreation’s mission to make swim lessons accessible for all.
Proceeds from the event directly benefit our free adaptive swim programs for individuals with special needs, along with group swim lessons that help children across Clarksville gain essential, life saving skills.
In true Polar Bear Plunge fashion, fun and creativity take center stage. Costumes are encouraged, and participants can compete for awards in several categories including Best Individual Costume, Best Couple or Small Group, and Best Large Group.
So bundle up, grab a towel or blanket, and join us as we take the plunge for fun, for family, and for a future where every swimmer is safe. Whether you jump in or cheer from the shore, your support helps us make a real difference.
