Brave the chilly waters and join fellow thrill-seekers for the annual Polar Bear Plunge at beautiful Chetola Lake, sponsored by ERX! Kick off WinterFest with a splash of fun and community spirit, with Al Conklin from WBTV as your emcee.
Plunge as an individual or with a team and dress up in costume for a chance to win the famous “Golden Plunger Award.” Online registration closes Thursday, January 22 at 5PM.
Location: Chetola Resort, 185 Chetola Lake Dr, Blowing Rock, NC 28605
Plunge Time: 10AM (You must be checked in by 9:30 am to plunge!)
This event is free for spectators, and $45 to plunge which includes a commemorative item! Be sure to bring a TOWEL and BLANKET for when you exit the lake!! A portion of the proceeds benefits the Blowing Rock Women’s Club.
