It's a blast to the past at The Grip! Join us for Throwback Pokémon events a few times a year. Next up, TPCi/Nintendo's first Worlds format! After WOTC lost the rights to Pokémon, this is the first official World Championship of the current era.Entry: $20
Registration/Check-in: 11am-11:55am
Format: 2004 Worlds (Expedition - EX: Hidden Legends)
Decklists will be required. We will be using online deck submission via LimitlessTCG.
Prizing includes a custom Champion playmat, 100% store credit payout, and more!

Proxies and Alternative Print Legality:
Since our events will be produced live, we strive for a certain level of quality for that content. However, we do understand retro Pokémon can be expensive. Below are the guidelines to follow when building your deck.
The following WILL BE legal:
- Modern reprints of cards with the same effect (i.e., playing Rare Candy from SVI instead of Rare Candy from Sandstorm.)
- World Championship Deck cards
- Celebrations Classic Collection and Pokémon TCG Classic reprints
- Non-English cards
- Up to 6 proxies only from the printing service https://printingproxies.com. Proxies cost $2 each, or less based on quantity ordered. We recommend not customizing the backside of the proxies for better image quality. If you have friends playing who need proxies, you can get discounts if you combine your orders and order more.
The following WILL NOT be legal:
- Computer paper printed proxies
- Sharpie proxies
- Fake cards

Some of our employees also have an extensive retro deck collection and will let people borrow a deck to play. You can let them know if you are interested in borrowing a deck in the #pokemon-retro channel of our Discord server.
The tournament will be produced live on Tricky Gym (Twitch and Youtube). You can check out previous tournament results as well as watch the past events back on www.trickygym.com.
