Pokémon Proxy Party
What is proxy party?
Proxy Party is a two-hour creative workshop designed to bring people together to create. Think of it like a paint night, but with coffee and tea instead of wine—and your finished artwork gets turned into a custom trading card. There’s no required theme and it doesn’t have to be Pokémon; you can create whatever inspires you.
Once your artwork is finished, customize your card with a name, description and other details, and our team will print and seal it inside a protective plastic slab for you to take home. No art experience is required, making it a great creative activity for friends, families, couples, or anyone who wants to make something, uniquely their own.
Message from the Host
Hi! I’m Shana, and I’ve loved Pokémon since I was 5 years old. Pokémon Proxy Party is a passion project created by a small group of friends who personally funded the workshop costs, including the artwork, slabs, printing, and the custom tech stack built from scratch to support the experience.
We hope you enjoy Pokémon Proxy Party, and thank you for supporting our project.
How to Participate
- Select a time slot on Eventbrite and purchase your ticket.
- On the day of, sign-in at the counter and receive a free drink of your choice, on us.
- Choose a pokemon and begin drawing!

Pokémon Proxy Party is open to couples, friends, solo attendees, and anyone who enjoys trading cards, drawing, and being creative.
Community Art Over AI
Whether you love Pokémon, custom cards, or making art, this workshop is designed to be a fun and social creative experience.
All artwork associated with this workshop, including the custom card fronts and visual assets are illustrated by our team. This workshop celebrates human creativity, handmade art, and personal expression. We only allow original drawings created by real people in order to preserve the spirit of community artistry and individuality.
Our Anthology
Pokémon Proxy Party is a community anthology project, meaning all card designs created during the event will be publicly available for download. The cards and artwork will not be resold for profit, and we strongly discourage others from reselling.
About the Venue
Space Social is a passion project built around two things we love: great coffee and trading cards. As a neighbourhood café and TCG community space in Toronto, our goal is to create a welcoming place where people can connect, collect, play, and feel at home. Whether you're here for a latte, Pokémon, or both, we're happy you're here
Parking: There is free street parking along Wade Avenue by the curbs, the spots are usually plenty during weekends. If not, the closest paid Green P lot is Carpark 082, or parking is available along Bloor Street.
