The Point of Jazz is a jazz collective led by graduates of the music department at University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. This week the house band consists of Kadin Yach (p) Jessie Crandall (b) and Colt Maichle (d). Every Thursday the group plays at Stone Arch Brewpub in Appleton Wisconsin from 7:30-9:30PM. They play a one hour set featuring that week’s guest artist, then open the floor for community members to join in on their respective instruments. This week‘s featured artist is their Quintet
Point of Jazz Quintet is a group based in Wisonsin. The group plays a variety of creative music and hosts jam sessions. The group is currently working on their debut album and plays original music and arrangements. Point of Jazz is a WAMI finalist for the Classic Jazz category.
