The Point of Jazz is a jazz collective led by graduates of the music department at University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. This week the house rhythm section consists of Kadin Yach (p) Jessie Crandall (b) and Colt Maichle (d) Every Thursday the group plays at Stone Arch Brewpub in Appleton Wisconsin from 7:30-9:30PM. They play a one hour set featuring that week’s guest artist, then open the floor for community members to join in on their respective instruments. This week‘s featured artist is PEGASIS. With shimmering vocal harmonies, pulsing rhythms, tight arrangements, musical virtuosity, and vibrant dynamics, PEGASIS provides lush soundscapes that captivate all types of listeners and makes the complex sound (and look) easy. Hopping between jazz, funk, r&b, pop, world, latin, and everything in between, PEGASIS gives their audiences a diverse and eclectic vibe, keeping them on the edge of their seats.
