Poet's Market

Like a farmer’s market for poetry, this event invites local poets and literary makers to share their publications, alongside additional vendors offering stationery, well-being goods, and other creative materials.

Visitors can browse tables, discover new voices, and connect with writers and artists working across the region.

At 6:00 p.m., the evening will pause for a short literary presentation by Scott Challener, Dean of the Graduate College at Hampton University, who will speak about the archives of the literary journal The Hampton Renaissance, revived by students in 2021.

Victoria King, poet and co-editor, will join him to share selections from her own work.
