Poets for Palestine Community Dinner

Event Description:

Join us for a community meal! Poets for Palestine has been hosting poetry and activism open mics for just under one year in the Denver metro area. We are rapidly growing, and we are beginning to host other events, as well! We also need to fundraise to support our growth so that we can continue to create community among activists, emphasize the importance of art as activism, draw connections and facilitate solidarity between liberation movements, and support mutual aid efforts. At this event, we will be partnering with the amazing owner of Saj Fresh Grill, who will be making homemade Palestinian maklooba! There are limited tickets available!

Pricing Information:

Tickets are listed for $20 each, but if finances are a burden, please reach out. We want this event to be accessible for everyone, and we are more than willing to work with you for a sliding scale ticket option. For transparency, 75% of the ticket price will be used to support locally owned Saj Fresh Grill, and the remaining amount will fundraise for Poets for Palestine.

Accessibility Information:

• Masks are STRONGLY encouraged and will be provided at the door (KN95). They will not be worn the whole time, though, as people will be eating in a shared space together.
• Saj Fresh Grill is wheelchair accessible, and we can rearrange tables, if needed.
• Two gendered, single occupancy restrooms with grab bars are on site.
• Expect moderate noise from restaurant operations and conversation from attendees.
• There is bright, overhead white lighting.
• There is one step onto the curb from the parking lot, but there’s also a ramp. There are no stairs in the building.
• The food will be gluten free, with a vegan option available.
• The closest bus stop is S. Parker Road & Iliff Ave, which is a 3 min walk from Saj Fresh Grill.
• There is a free parking lot with traditional and parallel spots. There are two accessible parking spots.
