Katherine (Kat) Dizon grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and has lived most of her adult life in Washington State, with brief stays in Indiana, Michigan, and Connecticut. Her poems have appeared in journals such as ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฏ ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฆ๐ท๐ช๐ฆ๐ธ, ๐๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ท๐ฆ ๐๐ฐ๐ญ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ถ๐บ, ๐๐ฐ๐ญ๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ฏ ๐๐ฆ๐ท๐ช๐ฆ๐ธ, ๐๐ช๐ณ๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฆ, and ๐๐ญ๐ฐ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ.
Her first chapbook, "Somehow, here" was published by Finishing Line Press in 2025. She has a BA in Creative Writing and MAT in Elementary Education from University of Puget Sound, and MFA in Poetry from the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University. Katherine loves mothering her three kids and cat, Dexter. She feels most at home anywhere near water.
She was a member of Striped Water Poets, which was a poetry critique group that met in Auburn.
