Join us monthly (September, October, and December -- keep an eye out for Finish Your Damn Novel November happenings) for writing workshops to hone your craft.

Every first Thursday is our Poetry focused workshop. September 4 we'll have Chio Seaterb and David Loret de Mola guiding you through the art of Spoken Word performance!

About the Hosts:

Chio Saetern, is a Sacramento poet and artist. Her love of poetry was born from healing and journaling. Her love of the poetry community came from the local open-mics hosted all over the Sacramento area. Chio is a co-founder of Sac Poets Society, a poetry writing and appreciation group that meets every other Thursday.

David Loret de Mola (also known as the poet AndYes) is a multi-award-winning, nonbinary, first-generation Cuban American spoken word poet who has been privileged to have helped other artists in Sacramento and abroad to find their voice and grow as artists through founding innovative programs like Operation FreeSoul and The Spoken Word Federation that not only give platforms to artists but create one-of-a-kind atmospheres but also serve to teach the business side of our arts scene.
