Join The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes for a poetry workshop facilitated by JC Roberts on Saturday February 28, 2026 from 1-3pm.JC recently left his factory job after decades in blue collar work and accepted a job as a writing professor upon the completion of his master’s degree. Years of dedication and blind faith led JC to pursue his dreams of becoming a published poet and teacher. With that personal history as his backdrop, JC brings high energy to his poetry workshops. Hope, gratitude, and a deep commitment to the creative community will be central to JC’s poetry workshop. JC will read some of his work, lead the group in some discussions, provide time for writing, and return as a group to offer time to share for anyone who feels comfortable doing so.
Please bring your own writing utensil and paper. This workshop is free and open to the public.
About JC Roberts:
JC grew up in Dunmore and now resides in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, just outside the Pocono Mountains. He earned his MA and recently completed his MFA in creative writing at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. His first book of poetry, “The Cobblestones I Know,” has been published by Foothills Publishing, and his second is in the writing process.
