Join us for an afternoon of poetry with Josie Nabhan-Warren, Iowa's Student Poet Ambassador for 2026–27 — the highest recognition given to a young writer in the state of Iowa.
The Iowa Student Poet Ambassador program, coordinated by the University of Iowa's Office of Community Engagement, celebrates an exceptional young poet who uses their voice to inspire others. Through readings, workshops, and outreach, the ISPA raises awareness of the literary arts and encourages young Iowans to explore the power of creative expression.
Josie is a junior at West High School in Iowa City, a performer, a literary magazine staffer, and a writer who turns everyday life into art that connects people. Her work is authentic, grounded, and full of heart — and this reading is a chance to experience it up close.
Come out and celebrate one of Iowa City's own.
