About the hosts:
Chio Saetern is a Sacramento poet and artist. Her love of poetry was born from healing and journaling. Her love of the poetry community came from the local open-mics hosted all over the Sacramento area. Chio is a co-founder of Sac Poets, a poetry writing and appreciation group that meets every other Thursday.
Penny Campbell is a local poet and aspiring novelist with a profound interest in stories, storytelling, and the ways in which we make sense of the world through words. Her poetry (and prose) grapple with all the things words can't express, but how beautiful it is that we keep on trying. With a background in education and a childhood spent always one step away from the stage, she brings with her a passion for the written and spoken word. Penny strives to ensure that her enthusiasm and deep appreciation for the words we use, the way we use them, and their deep connection to the stories we create is always in abundance.
Shea Robinson is the author of several works, including her debut novel, Dance With Me, first published in 2022, and Turn the Page: A Collection of Short Stories. Playlist for the Apocalypse, the first novel in her adult speculative fiction trilogy, is publication forthcoming. With Robinson’s conversational, artistic, and naturalist style, readers are invited to explore what makes us human, both in our care for each other and our vengeance at those who have hurt us, whether real or imagined.
Please no outside food or drink.
