Start 2025 with creativity and community at Poetry Open Mic Night on January 9th at 6:30 PM in downtown Rogers! If you want to share your own poem, one by someone else, or you want to listen to and connect with cool folks, this is the event for you!FAQs:
-- How much is it?
This is a free event. Donations are greatly appreciated though. If you want to see more events like this, give what you can. Venmo: @SarahBAnyieth
Cash is always welcome too!
-- What about food and drink?
Baked by Kori has amazing wine, coffee, tea, cookies, cupcakes, quiche, sandwiches and more.
--How do I sign up to read?
Sign-ups start at 6:15. A sign-up sheet will be near the door. First come, first serve.
--What about music?
We'd really like to focus on the spoken word and creative writing. There are lots of open mics for music already out there.
--How long can I speak?
4 minutes
--Can I read a short story?
YES! As long as it's under 4 minutes, we're happy to hear your creative writing!
--Can I read someone else's poem?
Of course! Just be sure to give them credit.
--How often is it?
Monthly - every second Thursday with Art on the Bricks
