Come and join us for an intimate evening of poetry, community, and belly laughs.
For those who are new, you get a maximum of two poems or five minutes — whichever is shorter. You can talk about anything you like, in any style you like, but please leave anything offensive at home.
We also do a voluntary challenge each month, which will count as an extra poem to your two-poem allowance.
DECEMBER CHALLENGE: Write a poem (or remodel an existing poem) into the cadence (rhythm!) of a festive tune!
We want to see your inner Mariah Carey in a poem about neurodiverse experience. Or are you more of a relationship guru Michael Buble? We'll even allow Wham, so long as you don't play the original song because Kia will be furious to be destroyed in Whamageddon at the start of December.
You don't have to sing the poem but hey; if you want to, you can!
Rhymes on the Rocks is a place to share, listen, and connect, so bring your best festive glitter and we can mingle and chat about poetry and poets that inspire us.
