Poetry by the Pool: Glow with the Flow Poetry Slam

Hosted by Comedian Rob Love, we’re taking poetry to the poolside, and the most fearless poets will bring the heat and battle it out for cash prizes. Join us to see which two poets make enough waves to WOW the judges and get paid. Grab your friends for a night by the pool or come solo and meet new ones. Let the vibes begin!

Round 1 🔔: Glo with the Flow Round (poem must be based on the title of a Glo song). Poems should not exceed 3 minutes with a 10-second grace period or the penalty will be a .5 point deduction per 30 seconds exceeded. 😳

Round 2 🔔: Poet’s Choice Round (poet chooses the topic). All chosen poems must remain under 4 minutes. 😎

*In the event of a tie

Freestyle Battle (poets get up to one minute to freestyle on a topic chosen by the audience - must be original and created on the spot).

Advance admission: (must purchase by Sept. 25th at midnight). Your name will automatically be added to the paid guest list. Just say it at the door.

Keep in mind that the pool is 1 foot deep and for aesthetics and seating only, not swimming. Guests are still allowed to enter it. No diving due to limited depth. Pool loungers are located in the pool.

***in the event of inclement weather, future event credit will be arranged since there are no refunds. An email will be sent to all Eventbrite ticket holders by 3pm show date. However, Cash App ticket holders should email [email protected] to get squared away with event credit.
