POETRY & CONVERSATION with Eric Greinke and Colleen Alles

We are the Grand River Poetry Collective and this event is our first 2nd Thursday Poetry Night at the Chapel which is our new location at Fountain Street Church. Our events are always free and open to the public.
This month we have the rare treat of getting to know two of our stellar Grand Rapids poets a little better, Eric Greinke and Colleen Alles, both with new books out. Eric Greinke is a prolific poet who's been active in publishing on the international poetry scene for the past 50 years. Truly a local legend, please come out to get to know Eric and help celebrate his new selected poems entitled, One Candle.
We are equally thrilled to celebrate Colleen Alles and her new book, Luminescence Season. I don't know if you've been following Colleen's career as an author and poet, but her star is rising fast with awards and publications in more than one genre. Colleen has also graciously offered to donate profits made on her new book to the Grand River Poetry Collective, for which we are eternally grateful! All donations allow us to publish and celebrate more Grand Rapids poets.
We hope you'll put the 2nd Thursday on your calendar for the rest of the year. For future 2nd Thursday Poetry Nights at the Chapel, expect more Open Mics, Poetry Workshops, Jazz and Art mashups, just whatever we feel like doing. It'll be fun! And you're invited!
The entrance to the chapel is on Fountain Street. I've included an image of the door you should enter through. For parking, there's a small lot across the street from this door. We have the code and can share it!
