Poetry & Art Noir

The Northern Virginia Alumnae Chapter's Arts & Letters and Fundraising Committees have partnered to elevate our signature poetry event into a sophisticated Friday evening "All Black" cocktail experience featuring local visual and spoken word artists. Come experience an unforgettable evening of artistic expression and celebration - "Poetry & Art Noir"!

What to expect:

• Mix & Mingle: Enjoy a cocktail from the cash bar, stroll through the gallery walk, and experience stunning art.
• Artist Interactions: Engage with local visual artists and shop unique Black-owned vendors.
• Entertainment: Enjoy local poets, instrumentalist Mark Tatum, and groove to tunes by DJ Rizzo.
• Extras: Light bites, raffles, and more surprises in store!
• The event is set in a cocktail-style format so seating is limited. However, reserved seating will be available for guests who need additional support.
• Make it a full evening! Consider an early dinner, a stroll along the beautiful Alexandria waterfront, and don't forget to capture some memorable photos!

Parking & Transportation:

• Limited street parking is available on Union Street, along with two nearby garages (average rates apply).
• We highly recommend using Ride Share (Uber/Lyft) or carpooling for a smoother experience.
