We are honored to bring this night of expression to this amazing venue owned and operated by Vicki and Crook Stewart, long time supporters of the local music and creative scene. Their passion for music and community makes The Ghetto Palace the perfect high-vibe backdrop for an evening of Poetry and Spoken Word
Following our local featured poets, we open the floor for the Open Mic portion of the night for YOU to share 1-2 short pieces. Whether your work flows like a melodic ballad or hits with the punch of a drum solo, this is a safe, hallowed ground for all creatives. The microphone is your portal to personal transformation. A capela and Rap are welcome.
If you wish to perform, please arrive early to check in with Nicky. You can also reach out in advance at [email protected]. We welcome all forms of respectful expression, you can even read your favorite song lyrics that move you — just remember to honor the original creators of any shared works.
