Event Description:Ignite your child's imagination at our fun and relaxed poetry workshop! This is a fantastic opportunity for young writers to explore their creativity in a supportive environment!
What to Expect:
In this hands-on workshop, we will blend art and words to create something special. Here’s the plan:
- Inspiration: We’ll start by listening to a few fun poems written by other children from past workshops to get the creative juices flowing.
- Open Mic: Any keen poets attending are invited to recite a poem they already know and love!
- Creative Process: We will use paper and colours to draw a picture. This drawing will then become the inspiration for the child’s very own poem. I will guide them through talking about their drawing to help build their verses.
- Take-Home Treasure: Every child will leave with both a beautiful drawing and a unique poem they have written themselves.
Logistics & Venue Information:
- Facilities: Please note that tables, chairs, and access to nearby toilets will be provided.
- Materials: We will provide colours/crayons and paper
- Group Size: For this first session, we are keeping the group small to allow for dedicated attention. We can accommodate up to 10 children.
