Lamprey, newts, salmon, and more! Experience the immersive visual stories by Freshwaters Illustrated, displaying the beauty, wonder, and value of freshwater ecosystems in the PNW.
Join this family-friendly film and gallery event to explore and celebrate Washington’s living rivers, lakes, and wetlands, and the people and communities who are working on their behalf. Featuring the films of Freshwaters Illustrated, presented by Founder & Director, Jeremy Monroe, along with the award-winning photographs of David Herasimtschuk.
Ecologist, author, and film subject, Dr. Judy Li, will be present with her Ricky & Ellie children's book series for purchase.

All proceeds will benefit the missions of Freshwaters Illustrated and the Adopt A Stream Foundation.
Before or after the event you will be able to enjoy an amazing outdoor experience on the Northwest Stream Center’s universally accessible Nature Trail. There, you will go past a Trout Stream Exhibit onto an Elevated Forest and Wetland Walk that winds through 25 acres next to North Creek, three feet above the forest floor and surrounding wetlands.
The Chinook Room will open for seating at 12:30pm, come early to get the best seats.
Only 125 seats are available. Pre-registration is recommended but not required, tickets will be available at the door until we sell out. Register online through the Adopt A Stream Foundation’s Nature Store, www.streamkeeper.org/thenaturestore, or call 425-316-8592 to reserve your spot.
Freshwaters Illustrated is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose mission is raising public awareness about the life, study, and conservation of freshwater ecosystems through immersive visual media and storytelling, and sharing imagery and stories with educators, conservation groups, and community audiences. Judith L. Li, retired Associate Professor in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Oregon State University, is a stream ecologist who studies aquatic bugs and riparian food webs. She is the editor of To Harvest ,To Huntand coeditor of Wading for Bugs. She enjoys sharing science with young students and contributing to citizen science programs. Ricky & Ellie children's book series including Ellie's Log which is proudly sold in the Nature Store at the Northwest Stream Center.
