Plátanos Are Love: A Dominican Storytime & Family Cooking Event

Children ages 5+ and their family are invited to cook a Dominican breakfast with Chef Vicki and meet author Alyssa Reynoso-Morris.

Children and their caregivers are invited to prepare and eat a traditional Dominican breakfast with Chef Vicki Pérez. Our special guest, author Alyssa Reynoso-Morris, will read from her picture book, "Plátanos Are Love." This is a part of the 3-part series, "From Page to Screen: A Dominican Celebration," held in partnership with Esperanza Arts Center, Tamo El Cine, and the Philadelphia Film Society. Sponsored in part by the William Penn Foundation and Rumba 106.1 FM. Families who register in advance will receive a free copy of the children's book to be signed during the program.
