Plymouth Art Weekender at Grow: Totems for Troubling Times + Open Studios
About this Event
Friday 16 – Sunday 18 October 2026
Grow Plymouth, 14 Drake Circus, Plymouth PL4 8AQ
Free entry | All welcome
Grow Plymouth opens its doors for three days of exhibitions, open studios, music and activity as part of Plymouth Art Weekender 2026.
At the centre of the weekend is Totems for Troubling Times, an evolving exhibition and residency led by artist collective Room to Manoeuvre – Claire Gladstone, Shelley Hodgson and Tina Kutter – alongside around 20 invited guest artists.
Bringing together sculpture, assemblage, contemporary reliquaries, vending systems, altars and shrines, the exhibition explores relationships between belief, value and exchange – moving between the sacred and transactional, sincere and absurd, everyday and extraordinary.
Friday 16 October | 5.30–8.30pm
Ritual Celebration: Totems for Troubling Times + Bar & Music
Join the artists for an evening gathering marking the culmination of the residency and the beginning of Plymouth Art Weekender at Grow. Explore the exhibition, meet some of the artists, then stay for drinks and music.
