Join this treasure-hunt type experience where all the items are 'new-to-you' and FREE! Let's build a sustainable fashion community together here in Muskegon.
The Junque Shoppe & Found Remains are hosting a Plus-Size clothing exchange event & private shopping experience. Donations and a portion of the proceeds made during the event will go directly to Every Woman's Place.
How it works:
Simply bring in any gently used clothing items that you're not using anymore - including shoes, belts and other accessories and trade them out for other items that you DO want. We ask that everyone be conscientious and take home a fair and somewhat equal amount compared to the items you brought. All clothing and items that are not claimed, will then be donated to Every Woman's Place - along with 15% of all sales made by Found Remains (alternative clothing) inside The Junque Shoppe during the event and any other donations that are collected.
Join other like minded individuals in the area by working with us to combat 'Fast Fashion' and the environmental and global economic impacts that it has on us all. Be a part of the change you wish to see in the world by participating in this budget-friendly, eco-conscious way to get a "new" outfit.
If you don't wish to participate in the exchange event, but still want to help - you can drop off clothing donations at the store. From now until the event we will have a drop box available to bring in your gently used clothing and accessories that you don't want anymore. The items will get put out for the swap and into the hands of your neighbor or someone in need. (We do kindly ask that all items are clean and folded please).
