This year, the State of the Philippine Environment Forum is organized to provide a platform to critically examine the intersections of the climate crisis, environmental plunder, and environmental governance. The forum aims to analyze how environmental governance, public funds, and natural resources are increasingly treated as instruments for profit accumulation.
The key themes this year include corruption and greenwashing in climate and infrastructure projects, large-scale mining, renewable energy, and continuing attacks on environmental defenders.
Speakers from civil society, grassroots people’s organizations, experts and advocates will share grounded insights, lived experiences, and critical perspectives.
This year’s annual forum will be held on July 3, 2026, in Quezon City. It is organized by the Center for Environmental Concerns - Philippines in partnership with IBON Foundation, Kalikasan People’s Network for the Environment, Environmental Defenders Congress, and Panatang Luntian.
