About this Event
Today's world can be chaotic, volatile and unpredictable. Learning how to navigate high levels of stress and anxiety can build resilience for surviving. Research over the past 40+ years has shown a mindful approach to life can strengthen one's mental, emotional and physical well-being. But how can you incorporate mindfulness into an already overloaded day?
Join Jody Daniels, an instructor in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and the former Workplace Mindfulness project manager at the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion at Cambridge Health Alliance for this in-person event at Robbins Library (Arlington, Mass.) to learn practical, simple ways to build practices into your daily lives. This experiential session will include the basics of a mindful approach to life and ten micro-practices that are easily accessible, as well as resources for both remembering and learning more.
Plug In, a Robbins Library series, is supported by the Barry Fund.
