Najstariji plivački maraton na Jadranu održava se od davne 1910. godine, tradicionalno se pliva 15. kolovoza, na blagdan Velike Gospe, zaštitnice Crikvenice, i to na utvrđenoj stazi od Šila prema Crikvenici, dužine 3500 m.Na maratonu svake godine sudjeluju ponajbolji plivači daljinskog plivanja iz Hrvatske i inozemstva, a natjecati se mogu i svi rekreativci, zaljubljenici u plivanje. Ne propustite biti dio spektakularnog događaja, bilo kao sudionik ili podrška natjecateljima. Predivno ljetno prijepodne, modro more puno plivača i brodica u pratnji, navijači u Crikvenici i u Šilu.
Crikvenički akvatorij će i ove godine biti kao najljepša fotografija s razglednice.

The oldest swimming marathon on the Adriatic coast (since 1910), the Šilo-Crikvenica Swimming Marathon traditionally takes place on 15 August, the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, the patroness of Crikvenica. Participants swim along a fixed 3,500-metre-long course from Šilo to Crikvenica. Every year, top distance swimmers from Croatia and abroad participate in the marathon, which is also open to recreational athletes and swimming enthusiasts.
Don’t miss being part of the spectacular event, either as a participant or to support the competitors! Enjoy a beautiful summer day with the spectacle of the blue sea full of swimmers and boats, and join the numerous spectators who cheer on the participants in Crikvenica and Šilo.
