The Glacier Art Museum (formerly Hockaday Museum of Art) hosts the 18th annual "Plein Air Glacier: Paint Out, Exhibition and Sale," a combined painting experience and favorite destination event, with selected established painters from Montana and around the country painting in Glacier National Park and nearby Swan and Flathead Valleys.
Plein Air Glacier 2025 features 29 selected artists from across the US and Canada:
Janet Armstrong, Jaden Attard, Karrie Baldwin, Stephanie Barrett-Pointer, Sydney Boveng, Sandy Bridgewater, Anke Brooks, Richie Carter, Pamm Ciupa, Leah Cupino, Gwen Day, Genevieve DeLorme Attard, Therese Ely, Jane Latus Emmert, Natalie Fisher, M.A. Fox, Bonnie Zahn Griffith, Denise Lemaster, Cody Ling, Dave Mihalic, Wanda Mumm, Sheri Nagy, Mark Ogle, Bobby Oshaben, Susan Oursland, Alyssa Shaw, Leah Spence, Louis Still Smoking, & Lindsay Jane Ternes.
Schedule of Plein Air Glacier events includes:
• September 8-12: Plein Air Paint Out in Glacier National Park, Swan Valley, Flathead Valley with the 29 selected artists. Visit glacierartmuseum.org/plein-air-glacier
• Public Painting Day with Artists in Glacier! Artists will be present between 8am-12pm and 4-7pm in the following West Glacier National Park locations: Apgar Village, Apgar Lake McDonald shoreline, Belton Train Station, & Historic Belton Bridge.
• Sat. Sept. 13, 5-8 pm: Plein Air Glacier Fundraiser Exhibition Preview, Party, & Sale with artists, members and guests. Featuring live music, delectable bites, drinks and more. Members $5; $10 for non-members, at the door.
