Plein Air 4-Part Watercolor Workshop
About this Event
If you’ve wanted to try watercolor painting but don’t know where to start, this four-part Plein-Air instructor-led workshop is for you!
Participants will meet for four consecutive Wednesdays in September from 10:30-1:00 in our historic garden (feel free to bring a bagged lunch) and will quickly develop painting skills through fun and engaging exercises. During the four weeks, you will:
- Discover ways of using different brushes to create foliage, petals and stems.
- Learn to mix the verdant colors of the garden’s greenery and flowers.
- Each session ends with a show and tell for feedback
No experience necessary. You don’t have to know how to draw—color comes first! Materials supplied. Please bring a tea towel to protect your clothes from paint spatters. If you have your own materials, please feel free to bring them.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn from a seasoned professional instructor in a beautiful garden setting! Sessions will be offered rain or shine; we will move indoors in the case of bad weather.
Session Dates: Wednesdays, September 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th. You must sign up for the entire workshop; individual sessions are not available.
Price for 4 sessions: $100 per person; while we cannot issue refunds for missed sessions, a make-up session at the end of the four weeks will be offered to those who missed a week.
