Then don’t miss our Pleiades Play Test Event happening on Friday, December 13th from 6pm to 10pm at Golden Rhino Games!
Pleiades is a collaborative sandbox board/card game set in the vastness of space, where YOU are the captain of your ship. Work together with other captains to form a fleet, but choose your path wisely as you navigate challenges, quests, and jobs across different solar systems. It's all about survival, wealth, and power, but the choices are yours to make!
What’s Happening?
We’ll be breaking into two groups to play-test two unique episodes from this exciting new game. Space is limited to just 10 players—so grab your spot early and be among the first to explore these episodes:
Episode 1: Mining and Pirates
MINING AND PIRATES: The fleet is headed to a small, distant, double-star system with one lush, civilized planet seeking opportunity. The planet is growing wealthy from the abundant mines on a moon orbiting a gas giant. As you exit out of hyperspace, the ships are hit by an intense solar flare. As you scan for electronic signals, the lush planet lights up with activity as does the mining moon. In the darkness of space twinkle signs of ships and a space station.
But it won't be easy, pirates and others have heard the rumors of easy money. The large star is highly active - riddled with immense flares, sun spots, and coronal mass ejections.
Where will you go and for how long? The Rocky Barren moon, the Lush Terrestrial green planet, or this unexpected Space Station? Will you take your riches and run or help if called upon?
Episode 2: The Eddes System
On to the Eddes System, a system at war. The two inner planets orbit a red giant and have been at war for over a generation. While the populations support their planet, the war is expensive. Further out from the inner planets lies an unexplored asteroid belt. Well beyond the asteroid belt at the edge of interstellar space lies a large well-established and very wealthy space station called the Emerald Station.
You are hired by authorities from a nearby system that is being flooded by refugees and rumors. They need information. Discreetly infiltrate and report back.
How It Works:
You’ll start by creating your captain, choosing a ship and two crew members. From there, explore different planets, space stations, and more as you flip event cards and face tough choices. The game is dynamic, and your actions will impact the entire fleet!
