About this Event
Are you ready to just sing?
We are very serious about keeping it casual.
This July, Please Sing Casually TURNS ONE! We are back at homeground for an afternoon of musical numbers. A special 120 minutes of unhurried, pressure-free singing. Same welcoming community. Just on a Saturday afternoon, at our homeground at Tai Seng.
If you have been with us before, you know what to expect — come as you are, bring your voice exactly as it is, and leave feeling a little more like yourself. If this is your first time, here is what we are about: no auditions, no performances, no need to impress anyone. Just people in a room, making sound together.
We begin with breath and simple sounds familiar in our everyday lives — humming, sighing, toning. From there, we ease into collective learning around two songs chosen for this session. Our music is arranged in a way that it sounds good on its own, and also in harmony with others!

Each session closes with a group-created song that gathers what we shared, heard, and felt along the way.
You are welcome to participate with your full voice, your quiet presence, or anything in between.
Persons with speech challenges and your loved ones are welcome to participate, such as persons with aphasia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease. You are welcome to be accompanied by a caregiver if you require assistance.
WHAT TO BRING
- A water bottle to stay hydrated
- Clothes you feel comfortable moving and sounding in
- Your Voice — exactly as it is
- Punctuality. We will start on time, coming early is highly recommended! If you are running late, you may lose out on some segments but still welcome to join us anytime.
